In the body
What it does.
The stone inside a date is normally thrown away, and it is ten to fifteen per cent of the fruit. Roasted and ground it brews dark and toasty, close enough to coffee to replace the afternoon cup without keeping you up. Very high in fibre, and a source of polyphenols, carotenoids and vitamin E.
